A Personal Note About Our Deckorate Reviews

Hey there, I’m Peter — the person behind Deckorate.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably checking out reviews to decide whether you can trust us. And if you’ve come across some negative ones from the past few months... I completely understand any doubts you might have.

So I wanted to take a moment to share the context behind those reviews — not as an excuse, but as an honest look behind the scenes.


What Went Wrong

At the end of last year, things went seriously off track. A major order of decks never arrived. A second shipment — which we had high hopes for — showed up with the wrong specs. This meant we couldn't ship them out properly, and we had to start from scratch with a new supplier. That whole process caused significant delays and created a backlog of frustrated customers.

It was a perfect storm of problems at the worst possible time. And as a one-person business, it was overwhelming to keep up with everything: production, customer service, refunds, reordering, and just keeping the lights on.


How That Affected You (and Our Reviews)

Many of you waited way too long for your orders. Some had to reach out multiple times to get a reply. Others didn’t get updates quickly enough. It wasn’t the service I ever wanted to deliver, and I take full responsibility for it.

We had to issue more refunds than ever. And some people — understandably — left negative reviews. I get it. When you place an order, you expect to be kept in the loop. You expect the product to show up. And when that doesn’t happen, it’s disappointing. Some even thought the business was a scam, which was hard to read — but also a reminder of how trust can quickly be lost when communication and reliability break down.


Where We Are Now

That period was one of the toughest chapters for Deckorate. But it also became a turning point. I’ve switched to a better supplier. I’ve added more quality control. I’ve improved the way we handle updates and support. Slowly but surely, we’re back on track.

We’ve always had a strong community of car lovers, detailers, and motorsport fans who believed in what we’re doing here — turning legendary cars into wall art. And I’m committed to rebuilding that trust one order at a time.
