The Group B madness
Every rally obsession traces back to Group B. For a few years in the mid-1980s the rulebook came off and the result was the wildest cars motorsport has ever allowed. Huge power, minimal weight, four-wheel drive still being figured out in real time. The era was so extreme it got banned, which only made the legend bigger.
The Audi Quattro S1 E2 is the definitive Group B piece. It is the most extreme expression of the car that introduced four-wheel drive to rallying and rewrote the sport overnight.
